Kevin Hall, PS, named Director of Technical Services

Kevin Hall, PS, was recently promoted to Director of Technical Services, where he will now serve in a role that oversees and coordinates the Technical Service Departments, including Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Survey. As the Director he will foster collaboration and maintain open communication between service and production departments, provide technical mentoring, manage company resources that include technology and staff, stimulate the motivation and morale of employees, and be an integral part of maintaining positive client relationships.
In addition, he wants to focus on strategically growing and expanding services to continue to meet our client’s needs. He plans to utilize his new position to advance employees, departments, and CEI as a whole “by building teams and creating new opportunities of services that CEI has not offered before.”
Kevin has been with CEI since 2004, and throughout his 20 years, he has held the roles of Field Specialist, CAD Tech, Survey Tech, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and most recently, Survey Department Manager. He believes his biggest challenge in this new role lies in his field of expertise. “I have been a surveyor my whole career. Learning more about engineering and design will be my biggest challenge.”
The Survey Department will experience seamless leadership continuity as Kevin assumes the role of Director. Dustin Riley, PS, a seasoned Survey Project Manager, has been promoted to Survey Department Manager. Dustin has firsthand experience with Kevin’s exceptional professional growth and achievements throughout their 20-year association. He intends to leverage the valuable leadership principles he has learned from Kevin to effectively guide the department. “Working with Kevin, I have had the privilege of learning from someone who exemplifies dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to our profession. His leadership has taught me that success in surveying is not just about precision in measurements, but also about building trust and fostering growth. I am excited to continue his legacy of excellence and ensure our team remains focused on delivering exceptional surveying services in our community.”
As he takes his next step forward, Kevin has unwavering support from his department, staff, and leadership. “Kevin is a natural leader.
