CEI assisted Walmart in adding online grocery pickup (OGP) to the existing supercenter off Pleasant Grove Road in Rogers, AR. This project presented a few challenges. First off, we had to work with two architectural firms, which made coordination difficult. Adding a new feature to an operating store without interrupting services is challenging enough; however, we encountered an issue with an existing 25-foot deep sanitary sewer line and easement. The canopy for the new OGP facility extended into the existing sewer easement, and the city was adamant that the sewer and easement be relocated. CEI used our political connections in the City of Rogers to allow the sewer to stay in its existing location, saving Walmart over $200,000.
