Contracted to provide landscape architectural services, this corporate Client challenged the CEI team to create a welcoming landscape while also addressing adjacent neighbor viewshed concerns with a strong perimeter buffer of native trees surrounding the facility. The initial 11 acres of arrival sequence plantings took inspiration from the expansive pastures and fence rows by incorporating a variety of grasses and native prairie plantings to complement the landscape beyond. A large glass façade overlooks the entry plaza plantings that create a strong foreground and complement the visual connection to the surrounding pastureland. The site includes an automatic irrigation system with rainwater collection pond for supplemental water during intermittent drought periods.
